Q: Why won't CERVIS let me sign up for a volunteer shift?
A: All individuals must attend a HabiTour prior to volunteering. Once you have attended a HabiTour, your account will update and you will be able to sign up for a shift. If you have attended a HabiTour in the past or volunteered with a group, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org so we can update your account.
Q: Why do some volunteer shifts say "Reserved"?
A: A volunteer day shows up as "Reserved" if all the spots are full for that day. The Reserved spots are reserved for our Crew Leaders. If you are interested in becoming a Crew Leader, please contact email@example.com
Q: Why do some volunteer shifts say "Contact Us"?
A: Our construction schedule for the week is finalized on Tuesday each week. To sign up for a shift after this point, you must contact us and we will let you know if there is room for any last minute volunteer additions.
Q: Where will I be volunteering?
A: Because of the many variables associated with construction (ie: permits, materials, weather, etc), we do not allow volunteers to choose their job site. We will do our best to accommodate your location preferences and email you the address to your site on the Tuesday prior to volunteer date.
Q: Can I bring a group to volunteer?
A: Absolutely! Please contact Laine Himmelmann at LHimmelmann@habitatgreatersac.org to schedule a group volunteer day.
