Thank you for your interest in coordinating a group volunteer project! The Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department offers an opportunity for businesses, schools, churches and organizations to contribute time, talent and resources to City Parks. Projects can be scheduled Tuesday - Friday from 9am - noon, or 1 - 4pm, and Saturdays 9am - noon based on Parks staff availability. To participate in a project, you must have a minimum of 10 volunteers. Volunteers under 16 must have a parent/guardian with them.
Project requests need to be made a minimum of a month in advance to allow staff enough time to coordinate a project.
School Groups
We must have at least a 10:1 ratio of students to adult chaperones. Chaperones are required to work with and assist with keeping students on task to provide a safe working environment. Students must have school staff or adult chaperones with them at all time. No students can be dropped off with Parks Staff. *Please note under "Additional Comments" how you plan to transport. Ex. Carpooling, bus, mini bus.
