Be a part of Damien Center's second annual bike ride fundraiser on Saturday, August 17. Riders may choose from one of three rides to participate in - a Metric Century Ride (62 miles), a mid-distance ride (34 miles), or a fun ride that includes a stop at and orchard and winery (10 miles). All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt! Volunteers are needed for the following roles:
- Event Set-Up 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. - Volunteers will help set up tents and registration tables at 3 locations. Set-up volunteers will be taking their own vehicle between locations, so anyone interested in this role needs to have a valid driver's license and auto insurance for the vehicle they'll be driving.
- Parking Attendants 6:45 - 10:00a.m. - Volunteers will use a walkie talkie to communicate with other event staff and help with directing participants to available parking spaces in designated areas. This is a great fit for folks who like efficiency and team work.
- Registration 6:45 to 10:00 a.m. - Volunteers will help with rider registration at the main site.
- Boggstown Support & Gear Stop 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Volunteers are on-site, monitoring water coolers and passing out snacks to riders.
- Orchard 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Volunteers are on-site at the orchard to answer questions and keep riders on schedule.
- Event Break-Down 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Volunteers will assist in final aspects of the event including handing out Damien Center swag and helping to break down tables and tents at all 3 locations. Break-down volunteers will be taking their own vehicle between locations, so anyone interested in this role needs to have a valid driver's license and auto insurance for the vehicle they'll be driving.
