Lexington Volunteer Center

God's Pantry Food Bank invites you to join us to help feed our neighbors! We have various tasks to complete from sorting donations, to packing food boxes. The project will depend on the current needs of the Food Bank. 

• Volunteers must 10 years of age or older at this time. We are working on creating opportunities for younger volunteers in the future!
• Volunteers between the ages of 10-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the volunteer shift.
• Volunteers 16 years of age and older may volunteer without a parent or guardian.

Pre-registration is required - we do not allow walk-in volunteering at this time.

Checking in:

• Please check your email for a confirmation of your scheduled shift!
• A link will be sent allowing self-check in on the day of service to your email address provided – please keep this email!

Parking and Arrival:

• Please park in the parking lot associated with the building at 817 Winchester Rd.
• Upon arrival, please use the main entrance to God's Pantry Food Bank Volunteer Center. Facing the building, our entrance is at the front, far right of the building. A wheelchair ramp is located left of our building entrance.
• A volunteer coordinator will greet you and escort the group into the warehouse. Guests are not to be unattended inside our warehouse.

Training:

• Please be prompt! Safety information and training will be provided at the start of the shift.
• It is important to be present for training so that the group can start at one time.

What to wear:

• Close-toed/heeled shoes are required.
• Clothing appropriate for current seasonal weather and physical activity is suggested.
• All personal items and belongings should be stored properly – no food or drink are allowed in the warehouse.

Safety Information:

• This project requires lifting of 20+ lbs., bending, squatting, standing.
