ArtsBridge: Carnival of Animals

 

Come experience Camille Saint-Saëns’ whimsical composition 
“Carnival of the Animals” with the Georgia Symphony Orchestra. 
Young audience members can listen to the sounds of 
marching lions, pecking hens, bellowing elephants, graceful 
swans and other creatures in 14-short orchestral movements. 
This zoological fantasy combines humorous visuals with captivating 
music that not only reminds us of the animals it represents, but also 
creates perfect opportunities for introducing basic musical concepts 
such as forte and piano, high and low, staccato and legato, and 
instrument identification
