Instructors and Assistants are needed for the Emergency Preparedness workshop event MC-CERT is hosting for the Public on June 1 This event would run from approximately 1300-1700.

We need help setting up for and cleaning up after the event as well as for instructors and assistants. The public announcement details are:

ARE YOU PREPARED TO HELP IN THE EVENT OF A COMMON MEDICAL EMERGENCY?

Come join us for some discussion, activities, and tips to help yourself, your family, and your community in the event of a medical emergency. This FREE event will cover several important topics including:

• Scene Safety

• 9-1-1 calls/texts and technology

• Hands-only CPR/AED

• Narcan

• Publicly Accessible Bleeding Control kits, what are they?

• First on Scene what to do, what not to do

• Hands-on practice opportunities and takeaways

Remember, as neighbors and friends, we are often the help UNTIL help arrives. This 4-hour seminar will help you better understand how to support a common medical emergency.

Date: Saturday June 1st, 2024

Location: Public Safety Headquarters. 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD

Time: 1 pm - 5 pm

Again, registration is FREE. Seminar is suitable for ages 16 and up. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Each participant will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win a home first aid kit.
