| Description:
The Trossachs Driving Route unveils the beauty of our forested hillsides and many lochs. Around Callander visit Bracklinn Falls then explore the wider area taking in Loch Venachar, Loch Achray, the Duke's Pass and the Lake of Mentieth. It was this area which inspired artists such as the Glasgow boys and Ruskin and writers such Sir Walter Scott.
You can explore the beauty of the Loch Ard Forest and the lovely village of Aberfoyle. It is easy to see why this area was so popular with Victorian visitors. It is common to see deer around the area and during the rut the bellowing stags can be heard from miles away. Keep an eye out for the fishing ospreys on the lochs.
Taking some time to walk and feel the atmosphere our Volunteer Rangers are welcomed by the communities and businesses in their role helping our visitors to discover all the area has to offer, stay safe and enjoy the fantastic landscape.
