Opportunity Details | VR - Callander Walking Route
Opportunity Name:
VR - Callander Walking Route |
|
Description:
Callander is a really interesting town with a rich history and cultural past, spending time in the town is really rewarding and a worthwhile experience.
Starting off by exploring Callander Meadows, you can engage with visitors enjoying the river and taking time out of their busy lives to settle and be with the peace that running water brings. Slow down a wee bit and see if you can spot a fleeting kingfisher or a dabbling duck.
Heading through the town and then up through Callander Crags to Bracklinn Falls. This route really shows off Callander's best, Bracklinn Falls are really dramatic, and with the new bridge being recently completed it is always a popular walk and a chance to engage with a lot of people.
This route starts in Callander, but let the volunteer team know if you would like a vehicle booked from Balloch. Collect any relevant kit or leaflets from Callander NP office.
For more information about this route, including a route description and map, please visit the Posted Documents section on CERVIS.
