VR - Aberfoyle and Callander Weekend Walking Route

Aberfoyle and Callander are really popular destinations for visitors at the weekend.  In Aberfoyle, lots of people visit to enjoy the fantastic variety of walking and cycling routes.  As well as the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre, other popular walks are around Lochan Spling or along Manse Road, through the Forest and back to Aberfoyle via NCN Cycle route.

 

Callander is another busy town at the weekends.  Visitors may venture to see the impressive Bracklinn Falls; walk along the river or walk along the Cycle Path to Kilmahog.

 

These routes starts in Callander where you can pick up a pool car.  Start in Callander, choosing a couple of the popular walks.  Then you can head to Aberfoyle.  Either stop at the Lodge, or park in the Riverside Car Park.  From here, you can pick one of the Aberfoyle walks.  There will be lots of people to engage with and inspire. 

 

If you would rather travel from Balloch, we don't have a pool car booked for this route, so please let us know if you need one.  If you start in Balloch, you can choose whether to go to Aberfoyle or Callander first, but please explain this when you leave information for Orbis.

 

As well as being able to ask for a Car Park Pass at the Lodge, we have parking passes available to display when at the Lodge, which unlike the ones from the Lodge you can keep.
