Swimming, Utah Tech University

Please join us at the beautiful Human Performance Center at Utah Tech University.  Swimming is an exciting and fast moving event with individual athletes vying for their personal best.  Volunteers will assist the Director in various capacities to facilitate a smooth-flowing event.  Requirements may include walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and sitting.  There are five categories of needs.  You may sign up for more than one shift and/or category.  There is limited free parking at Utah Tech University, so we recommend that you leave time to walk from the parking lot to the Human Performance Center.  You can also park in Volunteer parking at the Dixie Center and schedule a ride with the shuttle service at the Information Desk.

• Stopwatch Timers.  Volunteers will time individual swimming events (heats).
• Medals/Ribbons.  Volunteers will present medals and/or ribbons to winners. 
• Refreshments.  Volunteers will monitor a table, greeting the athletes and providing fresh fruit and snacks.
• Results/Announcer.  This volunteer will announce each event (heat), collect, post, and deliver results to the medals/ribbons table.
• Lap Counter.  Volunteers will count laps for athletes during the 1500 meter heat.
