Service Project Details

You'll work with other volunteers and staff to clean, organize, and stock the pantry as well as preparing and distributing pre-bagged orders for clients. We also have the occasional need for stocking assistance when a large shipment arrives. Food pantry volunteers are asked to make a recurring or long-term commitment of at least 2 months to be considered. Scheduling and availability to be determined with program director on a case-by-case basis!

Regular weekly shifts are available:

Mondays - 2:00pm until 5:00pm
Tuesdays (DELIVERIES) - 10:30am until 12:00pm
Tuesdays - 2:00pm until 5:00pm, 5:00pm until 7:00pm
Wednesdays - 2:00pm until 5pm
Thursdays - 10:00am until 1:00pm, 1:00pm until 4:00pm
Fridays - 10:00am until 1:00pm

We also have a need for a regular "Lobby Liaison" and administrative help during the following times each week. The Lobby Liaison is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Coby Palmer Food Pantry (i.e., checking in clients, maintaining flow of the line and lobby, answering questions and providing information). This is a great option for retired community members or for those will availability in the mornings or early afternoons!
