Mission SPOT stands for (Saturday Prayer and Outreach Time) 

 

Join us as we walk the parameters of The Mission and volunteer to  outreach in our community.

You will meet in front of our Check In Booth at 816 E. 21st Street. 

At 10AM, Chris Morrow or another staff employee will lead this group and prepare you for what is instore! We encourage you to bring water, snacks, toiletries or other items to distribute during this outreach project. All are welcome to experience street outreach on Saturday mornings with Mission Spot. You will be teamed up with our Men’s Christian Life Discipleship program staff and residents.  

 

  • 1st Saturday is a prayer walk. Join leaders of The Mission at Kern County as we pray over our city of Bakersfield and the less fortunate.
  • 2nd Saturday is the neighborhood cleanup. Lets keep Bakersfield beautiful by canvasing and cleaning The Mission's surrounding neighborhoods and businesses.
  • 3rd Saturday is the day of refreshing (water/prayer) Partner with us as we refresh men, women, and children who are struggling with poverty and hunger. 
  • 4th Saturday is beautification projects and setting up for family day. The Mission at Kern County is a full city block, we would love your help in keeping our campus beautiful!
