Opportunity Description

Brighter Bites volunteers will help distribute produce to families in a contactless walking line. 

 

Volunteer duties include:

• Providing a warm, welcoming, and fun environment for parents and children.
• Guiding families to check-in with Brighter Bites staff.
• Inviting parents and kids to engage in conversations about the fruits and vegetables in the bags and the nutrition topic of the week.
• Handling the produce to families who have checked in with Brighter Bites staff.
• Directing traffic.
• Distributing bags into the cars and moving pallets.
• Engaging children in a nutrition-related game or activity.
• Helping families carry the produce bags to their cars.
• Cleaning up the Brighter Bites work are.

Important Requirements:

• Include background check/ other specific requirement information here as applicable.
• Bringing government-issued photo ID. You MUST sign in at the front office to get a visitor pass and then proceed directly to Brighter Bites location.
• Wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
