TOPEKA - February Sort & Repack


Event Description:

The Volunteer Engagement Center (VEC) is a vital part of Harvesters’ mission to feed hungry people today and work to end hunger tomorrow.  In this area, volunteers sort and repack food, which assists Harvesters in feeding over 141,500 people each month.  Volunteer tasks are assigned based on product availability and project prioritization. 

Opportunities include:

  • Sorting fresh produce
  • Sorting and boxing bread
  • Packing BackSnack
  • Packing Senior Commodity Food Boxes

Please note the following requirements:

  • Volunteers must be eight years or older.
  • Volunteers 15 years-old and younger need to be accompanied by an adult.
  • Closed toed shoes are required.
  • Register each person who will be volunteering.
