Event Description:

This is an on-going volunteer opportunity and requires a minimum commitment of 6 months with 2-3 shifts per month. Exact dates and times of shifts can be determined on an individual basis.

 

Volunteers are needed to assist our SNAP department in helping under-served populations access SNAP. Volunteers will:

- Pre-screen individuals for SNAP eligibility

-Assist eligible clients with the SNAP application

-Provide information about SNAP benefits and other available resources

 

Volunteers will receive on-site training at Harvesters with the SNAP Outreach Manager. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, have reliable transportation and basic math skills. Volunteers must also be comfortable working with people with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds as well as be able to pass a background check.
