Opportunity Details | Shelby Farmers Market

Volunteers will assist at the Shelby Farmers Market in the following areas:  

Set Up Assistants: 

1. Set up PPG tent, table, chairs, upcoming event info, and advertising banners at the roadside
2. Assist farmers market vendors in locating their vendor spaces
   
3. Help set out cones, signs, and banners
4. Other duties as needed

Registration Assistant:  Assist Staff with vendor Registration 

Vendor Assistants: 

1. Help ensure that waste and recycling bins are properly managed throughout the market
2.  Greet farmers market shoppers and tell them about upcoming events at the PPG
3.  Help direct parking
4. Help facilitate shoppers that are interested in historic tours and match them up with tour docents
5. Assist in setting up the Picnic Area
6. Assist in taking pictures for Social Media 

Vendor and Tear Down Assistants:

Will provide Vendor Assistance as described above and help clean up after event will including moving tables, chairs, trash receptacles, signs, banners, and cones to storage area; pick up trash and debris on grounds 

 Age Restriction:  Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age
