Event Description:

 

THE MOUNTAINS AND THE PEOPLE VOLUNTEER WORK PARTY - The Snub to Loch Brandy Path

 

What and where?

On our mountain maintenance volunteer tasks you will undertake what is known as a “drainage run”. This means walking the route of the path, with a member of The Mountains & The People team and other volunteers, clearing the drainage features as you go. Think of it as a nice walk on an iconic mountain in the National Park, with a spade. This work is vitally important to ensure the newly built paths are kept in a good condition.

 

On this occasion we will be working on The Snub to Loch Brandy path which is one of the newly built mountain paths in the Cairngorms National Park.

 




 

When?

The volunteer day will run on Saturday 20th July from 10.00am to approximately 4.00pm. 

 

What will I need to bring?

You will need to bring appropriate clothing for the weather, sun hat, sun cream, waterproofs, layers, sturdy comfortable footwear, midge net, walking poles if required. You will also need enough food and drink to keep you going all day.

 

Who?

The volunteer days are open to everyone, although under 16s can be accompanied by an adult.
