Help Distribute Food at NVCS - North Hills (Agency Site)

North Valley Caring Services provides food to more than 2000 families and individuals in need. They are currently holding drive-thru distributions on Thursdays and Fridays.

 

Volunteer Duties:

Duties vary based on need, but typically include packing boxes with groceries, loading groceries onto vehicles as they drive-thru, traffic control, pantry set-up and break down.

 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Must be 18 years or older 
• All volunteers must review and sign North Valley Caring Services liability waiver and image release form. A copy will be sent to you when you register.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors
• Be able to lift up to 35 lbs 
• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Does not accept court-referred volunteers

Dress Code:

• Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) 
• Dress in weather appropriate clothing 

Parking:

• Onsite parking available

Supervision: 

• On-site Volunteer Coordinator will work directly with all volunteers.

COVID-19 Response: 

• Gloves and masks are optional to be worn throughout the event. Gloves will be provided.
