OVERLAND PARK - Hope Bus Volunteer (New Haven SDA Church)

48 percent of Harvesters agencies reported having no full-time staff.   They rely on volunteers like you to make sure that the community receives the food they need.

 

Food pantries acquire perishable and nonperishable food, as well as household products to provide to children, families and seniors.  The Hope Bus will distribute this food at several locations each day.  Tasks include:

    Stock bus shelves

    Help neighbors shop for food

    Clean out bus

    Put away food after the event

 

Please note the following requirements:

You will be asked to agree to a waiver and volunteer requirements by the ReNewed Hope Food Pantry team.

Keep neighbor information confidential

Age Requirements

      Must be 16 years or older

Physical Requirements

     Able to lift 5-20 pounds repetitively

     Able to stand for the entire shift

     Able to bend

     Able to work outside

Other Requirements

    Reliable transportation to follow the bus to each location

    Register each person who will be volunteering
