Help pack & distribute food at Our Saviour Center (Agency)

Our Saviour Center is a food pantry in El Monte California serving the community since 1985. They currently serve around 240- 500 clients each day they are open.

 

Volunteer Duties:

Duties vary based on need, but typically include bagging and packing food, signing-in clients, distributing food and post-event clean up. 

 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Must be 18 years or older 
• Volunteers must wear masks.
• No court-ordered volunteers
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs (tasks can be adjusted based on need)

Work Environment:

• Walk-up food pantry
• Indoors & Outdoors
• On feet for extended period of time

Dress Code:

• Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) 
• Dress in weather appropriate clothing 

Supervision: 

• On-site staff member will work directly with all volunteers.

COVID-19 Response: 

• Our Saviour Center is implementing social distancing, and providing masks and gloves to all their volunteers.
