Join Catawba Riverkeeper to remove trash from the land around the Catawba River at Landsford Canal State Park in Catawba, SC. The Catawba River is an important waterway as it provides essential urban natural habitat, recreation through trails and parks, and supplies the drinking water source for over 2 million people. The Catawba River's main channel spans 225 miles in length and the Catawba-Wateree Basin encompasses 8,900 miles of smaller waterways throughout 26 counties in two states (NC/SC). We are truly thankful you are donating your time and service to enhance the health of our shared water network! Weather Policy: Volunteer programs operate rain or shine. We will cancel events due to inclement weather including but not limited to, thunder/lightning storms, extreme winds, and flood waters. Due to the nature of weather events, we make this call by 2:00pm the day before the event.
