| Description:
Welcome, nature enthusiasts, to the fascinating world of stream bug sampling! This summer, Stream Team staff will venture into streams to uncover secrets hidden beneath the water's surface. Join us in our pursuit of understanding local water quality and stream health while having fun looking at bugs!
Volunteers participating in macro-monitoring on local streams will be accompanied by Stream Team staff at each monitoring location. Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Monitoring usually takes 2 hours per site, depending on the site and location. Directions to locations will be sent prior to monitoring date.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground and on stream gravel in boots. Some trails are steep and not suited for everyone. Events may be cancelled or rescheduled due to hazardous weather or water conditions.
