| Description:
East Campus will be running our new Mobile Food Pantry on April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21 and September 18. We'll be set up at East Campus at 3:00pm on those days. Then we'll set up at Pheasant Run Apartments at 5:00pm.
2-4 volunteers per campus | Delivery Team: Designated trained drivers will be assigned to this position by Vineyard Columbus campus staff. Drivers will be responsible for driving the Mobile Food Pantry to and from the distribution sites. If interested, please contact your campus lead for the Mobile Food Pantry. (1pm-2pm- Pick up Pantry and Stock it, then drive to East campus and set up for Pickfair)
(5pm - 6:30p- Drive to 2nd location Pheasant Run and set up)
(6:30pm - Drive pantry back to Northside Food pantry to unload shelves and any left over food items. Then drop trailer off at Westerville)
3 Volunteers | Registration Team: Volunteers will register guests using Mid-Ohio’s PantryTrak data system. Additional Mid-Ohio training is needed before serving in this position. Please contact Ashley.Thompson@vineyardcolumbus.org if interested in receiving the training. (3:30p - 4:30pm at Pickfair) & (5pm - 6:30pm at Pheasant Run)
5 Volunteers| Personal Shoppers: Provide support for guests as they shop for their groceries. Kindly guide shoppers as they shop for their groceries. Assist guests with loading groceries in their cars. (3:30p - 4:30pm at Pickfair) & (5pm - 6:30pm at Pheasant Run)
4 Volunteers| Unloading team: Volunteers will help unload food items from the Mobile Food Pantry at the Northside Food Pantry. Responsible for placing the food shelves of the Mobile Food Pantry in the Northside Food Pantry; emptying the shelves is not required. Additionally, unload any leftover food items from the outreach. Volunteer efforts will ensure that fresh food items are available for the next community the Mobile Food Pantry serves. (7pm)
4 Volunteers |Prayer/ Hospitality team: Volunteers welcoming guest; with a warm smile and ensuring everyone served is treated with dignity, respect, and a whole lot of love. Offer prayer and invite guests to Vineyard Columbus’s church services, volunteer opportunities and events. Guided prayer instructions will be provided. (3:30p - 4:30p - Pickfair) & (5pm-6:30p - Pheasant Run) |
