Event Description:

Are you prepared for your next outdoor adventure? In this series, you'll learn important skills that can help you during your next hiking or camping trip. Choose one or all class! Together we will learn fire building techniques that do not require modern luxuries like lighters or lighter fluid. We will also learn about using a compass and map orienting for when you are on long hikes, how to build a proper shelter in the wilderness, and what to bring and how to provide first aid while in the wilderness.

Volunteers will help set-up/clean up, check-in participants, assist leader in activities.

This is a great opportunity for Indiana Master Naturalist participants!
