National Night Out Olney 2024

National Night Out (http://natw.org) is held on the first Tuesday of August each year. It is a national program which encourages communities to meet with and get to know the emergency responders in their community.  We participated in this event last year and it was a well-attended, low-key, enjoyable event.

 

Due to limited parking on site, volunteers are asked to meet at the Community Services Building (600 East Gude Drive, Rockville) at 1530 and ride on CERT 700 to Station 40.   We will wash 700 at the station, and will leave the station around 1630  to drive in a parade, ending at Fair Hill Shopping Center, where the evening's main event will be held.

 

FROM 1700-2000,  we will be leading tours of CERT 700 for the General Public. In addition, we will be staffing an information table to talk to attendees about various topics related to Public Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and MC-CERT.

 

At 2000 we will return to CSB and dismiss from there.
