Join us in picking Valencia oranges from a beautiful private ranch in Somis. This is the 22nd year Ingrid and Chris Loh have donated their oranges to Food Share! Date: Saturday, July 13, 2024
Time: Shift 1 8am-10am & Shift 2: 10am-Noon
What to bring: Water, work gloves, clippers, and a bucket if you have them.
What to wear: Hat, long sleeve shirt, work boots or old tennis shoes.
Volunteers to follow these instructions:
1-volunteers not to step on sprinklers 2-Pick the darker color (more ripe) oranges 3-Pick from trees outside of the roped off area. 4-Do not pick leaves. Try not to expose pulp.
