2024 Athletics - Gresham - Mt. Hood Community College

This is one of four regional Athletics competitions across the state.  Athletes compete in various track and field events. Volunteer positions include timers, runners, field support, escorts, staging, results, awards, and lunch distribution.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Timers: Record athlete times for track events.
  • Runners: Bring times/scores to awards tents between events.
  • Field Support: Assist with field events: measuring & officiating jumps & throws.
  • Escorts: Walking athletes to awards upon completion of an event.
  • Staging: Checking in athletes and walking athletes to starting positions.
  • Results: Receive and record athlete results. 

The timeframes of the volunteer roles are subject to change slightly, due to the nature of sport. Many of the end times are dependent on how many athletes end up competing. The finalized time will be communicated to you in the reminders 5 days and 2 days prior to the event. Thank you for your flexibility!
