New Volunteer Orientation & Children and Youth Training

**Please note we have paused taking new volunteers for Children & Youth Program as program ends April 25! We will start taking new volunteers as we get closer to our Summer Day Camp Program**

 

New Volunteer Orientation & Children/Youth Volunteer Training

This training will incorporate both the new volunteer orientation & the children & youth training to help streamline the process for new volunteers. We will begin with the children & youth program training, sexual abuse prevention training and then we will ask those who have not completed the new volunteer orientation to stay for that portion. Those who have already completed the general orientation will be dismissed early.

30 minutes | Children & Youth Program Training 

30 minutes | Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

30 minutes | New Volunteer Orientation (if you have not yet attended)

 

In order to volunteer with our children & youth, new volunteers must complete the full screening process:

1. CERVIS Volunteer profile/application
2. Background Check (pay fee) 
3. Read over the policies and practices to prevent and address sexual abuse and maltreatment and Electronic Media Policy (click here for the manual!)
4. New Volunteer Orientation (incorporated into this training)
5. Children & Youth volunteer training (incorporated into this training)
6. Sexual abuse prevention training (incorporated into this training)

The children & youth training will be held at the ROCK located at 1201 N. 16th St.  Please register for this event so our staff will know to expect you and so that you have completed our initial questionnaire.

 

Please note that you must be at least 18 years old to volunteer with children & youth.
