Help Distribute Food Near MacArthur Park - (Agency Site)

 

Located in Historic Filipinotown, Atheists United provides over 3,000 pounds of food to people experiencing food insecurity each month. They currently distribute over 140 grocery kits every 3rd Friday of the month. 

 

Volunteer Duties:

 

Duties vary based on need, but will generally include helping to set up for the event, sorting and packing food, and distributing food to the community. 

 

Requirements & Skills: 

• Must be 18 years and older 
• Bilingual volunteers preferred but not required
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Be able to lift up to 15-20 lbs. 
• Be able to stand for long periods of time

Parking:

• On-site parking available.

Dress Code:

• All volunteers must wear closed toe/closed heel shoes.
• Casual and comfortable attire is recommended.
  
  • Ex: t-shirt and jeans
  • For safety reasons, please no short shorts or tank tops

Supervision: 

• On-site Volunteer Coordinator will work directly with all volunteers.

COVID-19 Response: 

•  Atheists United is implementing social distancing, and providing masks and gloves to all their volunteers.
