Description:

Help your neighbors directly by volunteering at The Food Bank Market. The Market operates similar to a grocery store, allowing people to shop for the food they need. Volunteers are needed to help us distribute food to our neighbors.

Volunteer tasks will include: 

Neighbor Services Team: 

  • Greeting everyone who enters The Market
  • Checking-in neighbors
  • Bagging up groceries

Warehouse team:  

  • Sorting through donations, including gleaning produce 
  • Stocking items by replenishing shelves  
  • Clean and sanitize frequently used surfaces

Volunteer Requirements: 

  • Ages 16 and older 
  • Ability to lift over 30 pound boxes (if on warehouse team) 
  • Able to follow all safety and food safety instructions 
  • Able to work independently and follow directions  

All Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. 

 

If this if your first time volunteering with The Food Bank Market, considering signing up for our New Volunteer Training. On the 3rd Monday of each month, we will offer a training and orientation session for anyone interested in serving with us.
