America Recycles Day


Event Description:

Trash can be scary! Spend this Friday the 13th conquering the trash monster! 

America Recycles Day is a nationally recognized day dedicated
to promoting and celebrating recycling. You and your family can dress up in your scariest costume and  spend the morning picking up trash and learning about what is recyclable and what is not while walking in one of our local parks. Learn what you can do to reduce the amount of waste you produce. Learn what materials are collected for recycling in our community and right here at the Monon Community Center. Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Please keep in mind that face coverings are mandatory and proper social distancing is encouraged.

Volunteers Needed:
Event Meeting Location: Central Park Central Trailhead (by the Skate Park and new restroom - white concrete bench structure). Park at MCC East parking lot for convenience.
