“We are committed to the highest standards of safety during your volunteer shift, including social distancing.  However, any activity in the community increases your risk of exposure to coronavirus or COVID-19.  If you or anyone in your household is at higher risk for serious illness from the coronavirus because of age, pregnancy, or because of a serious long-term health problem (for example, diabetes, heart disease, or lung disease), you may want to reconsider your participation in any community activity, including this one.”

A response of “yes” to any of the following questions will make a volunteer ineligible to participate in onsite or offsite volunteer activities and should not register:

  1. Are you younger than 14, or if older than 65.
  2. Do you currently feel sick (flu, cold, COVID-19 infection), or have a fever (temperature 100.4°F [38°C] or higher)
