2024 Restore! at Wakáŋ Tipi/Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary

These events, hosted in partnership with,

Wakaŋ Tipi Awaŋyaŋkapi, are intended for individual or small groups to help restore this park and be community stewards in the preservation of the Dakota sacred site, Wakáŋ Tipi.

 

Information: They meet one Tuesday and Saturday a month. Get out and enjoy one of Saint Paul's most historic and culturally significant prairie parks. Learn how to restore this local prairie from our Restoration Supervisors who will meet you at the park, teach you about the project, and supply the tools. Work will include displaced species management, brush hauling, seed collection and sowing, and planting.

 

Registration: Pre-registration is highly suggested. Please register all people who will be participating.

 

* Attendees of Tuesday Restore! events this year will also participate in community science data collection projects to help Saint Paul Natural Resources land managers and scientists across the world better understand the ecology of our Parks. For some of our educational activities we will be using iNaturalist. This app can be found on both iPhones and Androids.
