Glenmore Volunteer Group - Cutting back regen at Laggan


Help care for the woodlands of Laggan by cutting back regen


The Glenmore Volunteer group meets once per fortnight on a Thursday and carries out tasks to assist the Glenmore visitor services team to maintain visitor recreation sites and forest conservation across the forest park.


All are welcome to join in and are asked to book a place by signing up below no later than 1 day before the session. Reminder e-mails will be sent a few days in advance.


The location and timings of the sessions varies so please take careful note of the information before you book a place. We will aim to finish on time but please note some sessions may overrun. For all enquiries, please contact Maree on the e-mail address or phone number below.


Additional information

Although the FLS staff will endeavor to lead the session as planned on the programme, volunteers should be aware that all sessions are subject to change depending on seasonal pressures or weather conditions

All tools and protective gloves will be provided


Volunteers should come prepared for the weather and the task advertised with suitable waterproof clothing and sturdy boots as well as drinking water


A packed lunch should also be brought if booking onto a full day session (10-4pm)


Sun and midge protection is also advised during the summer months


All members under 16 should be accompanied by an adult


Volunteers are recommended to check themselves for ticks after the sessions, particularly after tasks in Heather/Bracken areas. Tick season is generally May-October. Further advice can be found at:
