2024 State Summer Games - Dance Carnival

Dance Carnival – May 16th – Fortin Gymnasium

Please join us for the 2024 Summer State Games Dance/Carnival on May 16th, 2024.

Teams will be dancing the night away and enjoying carnival games in this celebration of the hard work they have put in to get to the State Summer Games!

This experience is one of a kind and we would love for you to be a part of it! 

Volunteers will be asked to assist with clean-up following the event. 

Volunteers are needed for the following:

Set-Up – Volunteers will set up tables and chairs, decorate the tables with tablecloths and centerpieces, set up the photo backdrop, and organize the prize table.

Check-In – Volunteers will hand out volunteer packets to each of the volunteers and explain their duties for the evening.

Photo Booth – Volunteers will help participants line up and choose a prop for the picture.

Prize Table Attendants - Hand out prizes to athletes, unified partners, and coaches as they play carnival games and dance the night away.

Refreshment/Snack Table – Volunteers will distribute refreshments and snacks during the dance/carnival.

 

Games

Clown Tooth Knockout – Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each tooth knocked out, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Fish in a Bowl – Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each ball that lands in the fishbowl, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Hit the Bucket - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each ball that lands in the bucket, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Spill the Milk - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the rules, and guide and encourage them. A prize ticket will be awarded for knocking down BOTH bottles with one throw, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Tic Tac Toe - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the rules, and guide and encourage them. A prize ticket will be awarded for each ball that stays on the game, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing. An additional ticket will be awarded if the participant gets all three attempts in a line.

Hi Striker - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the rules, and guide and encourage them. A prize ticket will be awarded each time they ring the bell, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Basketball Toss (two lines)- Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each basket, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Home Run Derby - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each ball they hit, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Shooting Gallery (two lines) - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each target they hit, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Velcro Darts - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each dart that hits the board, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing. An additional ticket will be awarded for a bullseye.

Corn Hole (two games) - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each bag that goes in the hole, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.

Putting - Volunteers will help participants line up, explain the goal, and guide/encourage participants. A prize ticket will be awarded for each ball that goes in the hole, or if unsuccessful, one ticket for playing.
