Learn about our Corporate Program

World Biodiversity Day is a United Nations-sanctioned international day for the promotion of biodiversity issues. In Prospect Park, invasive plant species are a common threat to our urban ecosystem, outcompeting our native flora and impacting local fauna. Join us as we focus our efforts on removing garlic mustard, a common invasive species that impacts trees. Volunteers will help remove the plant before the seeds can spread further by either digging it out, or cutting off and disposing of seeds. Volunteers may also help with other activities, such as litter removal, path edging, and more.
