**Description:**
We're seeking dedicated volunteers to assist our Homeless Outreach Specialist in loading the Disaster Response Truck and driving to homeless camps in Hamilton County. As a volunteer, you'll be directly involved in distributing essential items such as hygiene kits and food to individuals in need.
**Responsibilities:**
- Loading the Disaster Response Truck with necessary supplies
- Riding along to designated homeless camps in Hamilton County
- Distributing hygiene kits and food to individuals experiencing homelessness
- Engaging respectfully and compassionately with members of the homeless community
- Assisting in assessing needs and providing appropriate support and referrals
**Requirements:**
- Passion for serving the homeless community
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (cold, heat, rain)
- Ability to walk and hike into wooded areas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
