Description:

Enrichment is intended to allow cats to have a regular outlet for instinctive behaviors and to improve the lives of the cats in our shelter during their time with us. Cat enrichment allows volunteers work closely with the Enrichment Manager to provide a comfortable and stimulating living environments for our shelter cats. Enrichment activities will include the use of a variety of toys, treats and training techniques to keep the cat's mind active in order to prevent mental deterioration or behavior issues from developing. 

 

Volunteers who work with cats who have completed their Fear Free Shelter program get moved to the Blue Level Cat Enrichment level. This allows Volunteers to take approved cats out of their kennels for 30 minutes or more of enrichment activities.
