Chase Driver Highlights:

• ONLY AVAILABLE IN METRO ATLANTA
• You will need gas! 3/4 to a FULL of a tank of gas
• You will meet at our office. Use the mobile sign in feature or text (404) 590-2303 to sign in with the dispatcher.
• You must confirm via text message when clock in and out for your shift with the dispatcher. Failure to do so may result in not receiving credit for any hours completed. 
• Please arrive 5-10 minutes early prior to the start of your shift. If you arrive later than 15 minutes after the start of your shift you may not be allowed to sign in. 
• Volunteers will be paired with a supervising SafeRide professional driver. Your partner can sign any paperwork you have to be signed.
• You will transport our driver in your vehicle to each reservation and follow the driver as he or she drops off each customer. 
• You will not have any customers in your vehicle. Your only passenger will be a SafeRide professional driver.
• At the end of the shift, you will return to our office to sign out. 
• You are required to stay until the end of the shift. 
• Please dress appropriately in business casual attire. NO Flip flop shoes, no tee shirts or tank tops, no spandex.
• You are responsible for your own gas. Please arrive with at least 3/4 of a tank.
• Be prepared to drive! Our service covers the metro Atlanta area including Kennesaw, Marietta, Norcross, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, Acworth etc...
• Eat before your shift! You will not be allowed to leave to get food.

COVID-19 NOTICE

SafeRide America follows all CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19 safety. You will be required to wear a mask while volunteering. We ask that you do your best to social distance at all times while volunteering. Wash your hands whenever possible. Please bring your own hand sanitizer.

 

**If you are on a Wait List, you do not come in to our office unless we contact you via email or phone asking you to come in. You will be automatically placed on the schedule should the time you have requested become available. Our volunteer portal will automatically assign you to any openings and send you a confirmation email informing you that you have been scheduled to appear.  Please check your email frequently on days that you have signed up to be on a Wait List.  

 

Commitment:

• If for any reason you need to cancel your shift, please do so by canceling on line via your volunteer profile or by contacting the volunteer coordinator at 404-888-0887 or at volunteer@saferideamerica.org at least 24 hours before the start of your shift. If you cancel your shift with less than 12 hours notice you will receive a "no show" on your volunteer account which could result in your removal from our volunteer program.
