King is a lively, bustling market in the heart of Portland. Enjoy the company of a couple of your fellow MGs as you team up to answer gardening questions from inquiring clientele. Spend a lovely Sunday enjoying the community atmosphere at this urban oasis. The King Market is one of the bike friendliest markets and also easily accessible by Tri-Met.
King Market is located in the parking lot next to King Elementary School. It is at NE 7th and Wygant, between NE Alberta and NE Prescott Streets.
Dates and times: every Sunday in May, 10 am - 2 pm.
Master Gardeners staff the community booth on the listed dates. The event is open to Perennials and the 20/22 Cohort.
When you check in to your shift, if you don't see our booth, to be directed to our space, please check in with the market staff in the yellow info booth, or with market staff who wear bright red shirts and jackets. A requirement for this market is that volunteers must stay until the end of market times. Market times are: 10 am - 2 pm. Thank you.
Waitlist policy: If a shift opens and you are automatically scheduled by CERVIS because you were on the Waitlist, please make sure to send us a confirmation email, so we know you intend to fill that shift.
Cancellation policy: Please only sign up for shifts that you know you can make. If you need to cancel a shift, please cancel with advance notice. You can “un-register” in CERVIS.
