Description:
Come join the Parks crew at Chavis Park as we refresh the plant beds with spring annuals and mulch.
Duties and Impact: Volunteers will use hand shovels, wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread mulch and install plants in designated areas.
By volunteering, you will help provide a beautiful aesthetic for visitors and a healthy habitat for native wildlife. Mulching these area not only enhances the look of the park, it also helps with controlling weeds and helps with water retention.
Work Environment: We will be working outside in the elements. There is the possibility for uneven ground. There will be a restroom on site.
