Dix Park Movies on the Lawn- Halloween Double Feature

Volunteers are needed to monitor different trick-or-treating stations at this outdoor movie night. Each station will have three tables with both a candy and non-edible option per table. One or two volunteers will help refill treats and tricks as needed per station and help trick-or-treaters pick out their treats. Feel free to dress up! Remember there will be people of all ages trick-or-treating, so be sure your costume is family-friendly.

 

Duties and Impact:

Volunteers will help pass out candy, snacks, and other treats at the trick-or-treating stations before the movie begins and during the first film. Will also help clean up stations at the end of the first film. By volunteering you are helping spread joy as well as fostering a sense of community.

 

Work Environment:

Work will occur outside on gentle hills. Please wear layers as the temperature will drop when the sun goes down. It will also be dark when you leave, so a flashlight is recommended. Port-o-johns will be available.

 

Requirements:

• Ages 15+. Those under 16 must have a parent/guardian present
• Complete a release form (if prompted). Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature

Other Instructions:

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Wear close-toed sneakers or hiking boots
• Bring your own filled water bottle

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
