Sorting of Stamp Out Hunger--Nat'l Assoc. of Letter Carries

Feed My People will be part of the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger event. Carriers will collect food donations which are delivered to Feed My People for sorting and distribution to our local partners.

 

Saturday Afternoon/ Event—Once donations are unloaded from our trucks and weighed, volunteers sort food from the carts into labeled totes. This activity requires bending and lifting food bags.  Once the carts are unloaded, the food will be packed in boxes.  This packing will also occur on Monday.  You may sign up for Monday’s shift separately.

 

We will provide some food for the second shift do to it being over the dinner hour.

 

Kids 8 years of age and older are welcome to volunteer.  We do require one adult for every two kids between the ages of 8-14.  All kids must be registered.  You may use the parent’s email and phone number to register them.

 

Volunteers should park near and enter through door #1. Please follow the signs to the Volunteer Center to sign in and get directions on what to do.
