Opportunity Name:
2024 State Fair Fishin' Pond - FISHING |
|
Description:
*This is registration for Fishing station volunteers at the DNR State Fair Fishin' Pond.
Working directly with kids and families around the pond, help create a hands-on fun-filled experience inspiring them to hit the water again.
Fishing station volunteers give brief instructions while offering opportunities for 1-2 kids at a time to bait and cast a cane pole, catch fish, and return them to the water. Informational materials will be on-hand for you to share with families to encourage them on their next fishing adventure.
As a DNR volunteer for this event you will receive an orientation to your role and to the fishing pond, map and ticket for fair entry the day of your shift, volunteer t-shirt, volunteer service agreement, and background check.
We ask that you come prepared with sun protection (sunscreen and sunglasses), water, snacks, comfortable footwear, and rain gear if the forecast calls for it.
If you have questions or concerns, please email dnrstatefishingpond@dnr.IN.gov. |
