Raleigh Rockets Track Meets

Raleigh Rockets Track & Field Program was developed to introduce young athletes to this sport, rich in tradition and history. This program combines technical development and fundamental techniques with safety, but the major focus is on fun!

 

Duties and Impact:

Volunteers may assist with cheering, timing, distributing awards, and other tasks. We want this event to inspire athletes to have a love for running, and to be active. By volunteering at this event, you promote track and field, the love of fitness, and having an awesome time doing your best.

 

Work Environment:

Volunteers will be working outside in the elements and may be standing or walking throughout the event. There is the possibility for uneven ground and loud noises due to music or cheering from the crowd. There will be a restroom on site.

 

Requirements:

• Ages 16+
• Up-to-date release form. Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature

Other Instructions:

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Wear close-toed shoes such as sneakers
• Bring your own filled water bottle and sun screen

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
