Green Road Playground Mulching

Come join the Parks crew at Green Road as we add some mulch to the area.

 

Duties and Impact:

Volunteers will use wheelbarrows, pitchforks, hard rakes, and other tools as needed to help spread mulch and in designated areas.

 

By volunteering, you will not only enhance the look of the park, but will also help soften the ground that children and kids play on. 

 

Work Environment:

We will be working outside in the elements. There is the possibility for uneven ground. There will be a restroom on site.

 

Requirements:

• Ages 16 . Those under 16 must have a parent/guardian present
• Complete a release form (if prompted). Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature

Other Instructions:

• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
• Wear close-toed sneakers or hiking boots
• Bring your own filled water bottle

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
