Join our Greenway staff on the Neuse River Trail and help beautify the area! We will be cleaning sections of fencing along the trail.

Duties and Impact:

Volunteers will walk along the Neuse River Trail (around one miles round trip) to different fence sections and clean the fencing with soap and water. We will provide cleaning supplies such as gloves and scrubbing pads. By cleaning these fence sections, we will beautify the trail for all who pass through.

Work Environment:

We will be outside along a paved trail, but there is the possibility for uneven ground. This project will involve quite a bit of walking - about one and a half miles. There is no restroom on site, but one could be driven to.

Requirements:

Ages 0 . Those under 16 must have a parent/guardian present
Complete a release form (if prompted). Those under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature

Other Instructions:

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
Wear close-toed sneakers or hiking boots
Bring your own filled water bottle

Per department policy, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed/ suggested community service hours.
