Description:
Mud Day is the largest event hosted at the Walnut Creek Wetland Park every year, and is a beloved community festival! Volunteers will be taking some of the burden off of park staff and contributing to a successfully run event.
Duties and Impact: Volunteers will be contributing time to help set up some of the larger Mud Day attractions, including the mud pit and mud slide. They will also be assisting with staging the event by putting up signs, putting out materials, and ensuring everything is ready for the day of the festival. Please note that there are two available shifts with different duties.
Work Environment: We will be working mostly outdoors on grassy, sloped surfaces and around the park property and greenway. The work will require lifting (hay bales, tarps) and it will be hot! There will be a restroom on site.
