Opportunity Details | Mud Day!
Opportunity Name:
Mud Day! |
|
Description:
Mud Day is the biggest event hosted at the Walnut Creek Wetland Park! It is a festival celebrating the wetlands and getting families outside and dirty featuring food trucks, tons of tables and activities, a mud pit and a giant mud slide.
Duties and Impact: Volunteers will be assisting attendees, helping with setup and breakdown, supervising physical activities like the mud slide and obstacle course, running materials, assisting with tables. Please be aware that there are two shifts; one to set up prior to the event and one to assist during the event.
With an attendance upwards of 500 people, we need a lot of volunteer help to make the event a success. This will be our 6th year and we couldn't do it without volunteers!
Work Environment: The environment will be crowded and outdoors in the heat. The event takes place all around the park property, so some duties may include walking some distance. There is the possibility for uneven ground. There will be a restroom on site.
