Description: Mayor Dyer’s Beautify Fresno initiative is partnering with the Fresno Animal Center to host a "Pickup With Pups" cleanup and dog adoption event at Roeding Park on Saturday, May 18 between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The Animal Center will provide a limited number of dogs for the volunteers to walk with as they pick up litter. [NOTE: You can still volunteer even if you don't want to walk a dog. Please do not bring dogs to the event.] Volunteers are asked to use the Olive Avenue entrance and meet at the picnic tables at Roeding Park just south of the tennis courts beginning at 8:45 a.m., to check in and receive instructions. All volunteers are required to sign a Liability Waiver form prior to participating in this event. To speed up the check-in process, we encourage you to sign the release waiver electronically prior to the event by visiting https://appdev.fresno.gov/beautify/pups. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign for them. Beautify Fresno will provide trash bags, paper pickers, vests, and gloves.
